Today, everyone is talking about marketing strategies, making it difficult to determine which ones actually work. To help you have your best business year ever, let me share with you some of the best and most promising marketing ideas, techniques, tools, and tips.
However, let’s define marketing strategies first. A marketing strategy is an organization’s overall plan for attracting potential customers and persuading them to buy its products or services. High-level elements of a marketing plan include things like the company’s value proposition, main brand messaging, demographic data on the target market, etc.
The four Ps of marketing—product, pricing, place, and promotion—are all addressed in a comprehensive marketing plan.
POINTS TO NOTE
- A company’s plan for reaching out to potential customers and converting them into buyers of their goods or services is known as a marketing strategy.
- The value proposition of a corporation should be the focus of marketing plans.
- Creating and communicating a lasting competitive edge over competitors is the ultimate goal of a marketing strategy.
Let’s start with what I consider to be one of your best current prospects, one of the most well-liked trends and hottest subjects right now. After saying that, let’s begin.
1. Use ChatGPT AI
Utilizing a technique that will speed up the process will enable you to receive greater results from your marketing faster than you ever imagined possible.
For quite some time, artificial intelligence—more usually abbreviated as AI—has existed. But even though we were told in earlier generations that we’d have flying cars, completely automated homes, and essentially robots that could do everything for us, these predictions haven’t come true. At least in the area of business and marketing, AI has only lately begun to show its value.
One piece of technology that’s making the most noise and the biggest disruptor in the space right now is a little piece of software called ChatGPT that can do, well, a whole lot of crazy things.
What is ChatGPT Software?
For instance, I can ask it to generate 15 marketing concepts, and there they are. I might then decide I want even more suggestions. And with that, a brand-new list is presented.
I can ask it to create a Facebook advertisement for me to promote exercise equipment. It’s not a bad start, though I would make a few adjustments and alterations. However, after giving it some thought, I believe using the tried-and-true PAS copywriting methodology would be more effective.
Using ChatGPT in your marketing will help you take advantage of the upcoming marketing trend, which is a little bit of a change from how things have traditionally been done. As you can see, the key to obtaining the greatest marketing bang for your budget right now is to put quality over quantity by producing superior content.
Best Effective Marketing Strategies To Boost Sales
- Use ChatGPT AI
- The benefits of focusing on quality over quantity for long-term success
- Better content is entertaining content.
- Building a Business Community
- Video Marketing
2. The benefits of focusing on quality over quantity for long-term success
There has been a disagreement over which strategy is superior for as long as content marketing has existed. either quality, where the aim is to produce fewer, higher-quality pieces of content, or quantity, where the plan is to produce as much information as humanly possible. And here’s the thing: both of these various strategies continue to be effective, which is why you still see people promoting them.
But at least for now, concentrating on producing fewer but higher-quality pieces of content will yield a better return on your time and energy expenditure.
The best place to witness this movement and trend in action is right here on Google and YouTube, where many channels have abandoned a regular upload schedule in favor of publishing a video or blog post when it is ready.
After all, that, let me make two points clear to you.
- First of all, this trend toward quality over quantity is a perfectionist procrastinator’s dream. So if that applies to you, take great care not to let perfectionism take over and prevent you from ever releasing or posting any form of content since it’s simply not good enough now.
This is due to the fact that quality frequently results from quantity, so you’ll need to put in a lot of effort, especially in the beginning, to develop your content-creation skills.
Not to mention, it’s difficult to tell what better genuinely is until you’ve developed and published a few pieces and other types of material. This is so because what is best can vary. Neither what’s good for me nor what’s good for you is certain to be good for the other.
Because of this, the only metrics that really count and should be examined are those that show how your target audience and customers are interacting with and reacting to your work.
So here are three guidelines I want you to remember in order to help you get started and stay on track in the direction of producing better content.
Three Pieces of Advice for Creating Better Content
1. Content that is relevant is better content.
This means that it benefits the person it was written for. In other words, individuals believe, “Good, good. This is for me, really.” The simplest approach to achieve this is to make sure you are aware of the actual hurts, worries, anxieties, and frustrations of your customers.
2. Better content is valuable content.
This means that in some way, your content adds value for your readers. Now, it might be to inspire them, teach them something, or even just provide entertainment or stress relief. And once more, maintaining your focus on your clients and the audience you want to target is the greatest approach to ensure that you are producing valuable content. Consider what you can provide, create, or do to make their life a little bit better.
3. Better content is entertaining content.
Now, I’m not saying you should start making content exclusively in the entertainment genre or that you should start producing at the level of Nollywood. The only requirement is that you give it some consideration as to how you might make whatever it is that you do just a little bit more interesting and, most importantly, not boring.
As I’ve already stated, the greatest way to achieve this is by putting a lot of effort into trying to understand your customers and where they’re coming from.
4. Building a Business Community
Building a business community, which involves forming a community or a group of like-minded individuals around whatever business, industry, or market you’re a part of, is one of the best marketing strategies that consistently produce outstanding results and outsized returns for the effort that you have to put into practice.
Organizing a community of like-minded individuals and serving as their informational resource not only fosters a great deal of trust, authority, and goodwill, but it also positions you, your company, and your content as a reliable source that others can turn to.
The most significant and effective aspect of all, however, is that concentrating on business community building can create genuine connections that go far beyond the straightforward transactions for which the majority of organizations compete.
These days, there are a ton of ways to create your community, host it, or interact with it, including online forums and discussion groups. There are memberships, or you could hold a Q&A session, or you might conduct a webinar.
Basically, everything that enables you to gather people, disseminate knowledge, and foster and encourage conversation The social graph, which are community created on personal and social connections, was the focus in previous years; however, more on this in the moment. Now, because of how big and linked the world is, its communities are constructed using the interest graph. The strongest is that.
So if you’re not familiar with the social graph and the interest graph, these are important points, so let me break them down for you now.
Basically, the social graph is how you’re connected to other people, and you have a number of different social graphs in your life, including your family, your friends, your work, and even casual acquaintances.
And in the past, it was through these people that you were introduced to different ideas and concepts, and content.
And while the social graph is still very much real and important, there’s another important graph taking over which is the interest graph.
An interest graph is where your first interaction or engagement with an idea or a piece of content comes from your interest in a certain topic or trend rather than the people.
This leads to consuming content around that, which leads to discussions and conversations with other like-minded people. And then, that leads to social connection and learning more about other people who are interested in the same things as you are.
Social Graph vs. Interest Graph: What’s the Difference?
Let me give you an example. In the social graph context, I could be chatting with a brand new friend of mine, and I just happened to find out that he’s super into rollerblading. Like, crazy into rollerblading. So he starts talking and sharing about the rollerblading lifestyle and how fun it is, and how exciting, and how it’s making a comeback, and how it’s a great way to stay in shape and build coordination, and how there are a lot of other people who are living this rock and rollerblade lifestyle.
And so, against my better judgment, I decided to dust off my old pair of rollerblades and give it another shot. Hmm. So that’s the social graphic work. The interest graph, on the other hand, works in the complete opposite way.
For example, let’s say that one day you get this wild and crazy idea to go out there and start your own business. Good for you, by the way. And you decide that marketing is the single most important element to your business’s success, so you seek to find new and innovative marketing strategies to help you make more sales and get more customers and increase your revenue.
So you head over to YouTube, and you type in “marketing” in the search bar. This brings up a video that leads you to click it and watch it. Hopefully, you enjoy the video and off to click the “like” button and subscribe and maybe even leave a comment, which leads you to discover an entire community of like-minded people just like you all interested in starting and building and growing successful and profitable businesses.
Connections are made, relationships are built, and an entirely new social circle is created and formed around a common interest that you and others share. And the beauty of this is that While the social graph is kind of limited to your personal and social and friends and family and work connections, the interest graph is essentially unlimited and allows you to connect with anyone from anywhere in the world who happens to be interested in the same kind of things as you are.
- We must ensure that you are producing the appropriate kind of content for the appropriate audience, seeing as how content discovery is the first step in leveraging the interest graph.
5. Video Marketing Strategies Works
The future of marketing is video. The current presence of marketing is a video too. Actually, the past of marketing is kind of video too, especially in the last five years or so, and almost every single social media platform out there is continuing to make prioritizing video content their primary goal.
Video is dominating the newsfeed in an increasing number of ways, from the obvious players like YouTube and TikTok to the less obvious ones like LinkedIn and Instagram. considerably more significant.
According to a Wise Owl study, 86% of companies utilize videos for marketing purposes, 87% of marketers claim that using videos has helped them improve traffic, and 81% claim that using videos has directly increased sales.
But here’s where things really become interesting. is from the viewpoint of the consumer, with individuals watching, getting ready, 19 hours of internet video on average per week. It’s only an hour more per week than it was a year ago, but over the past three years, it has increased by an almost astounding 8.5 hours per week.
The ease with which your content may be repurposed and reformatted is one of the best things about video marketing. Basically, I want you to assume that you’ve just finished filming a lengthy video for your brand-new YouTube channel and that you have the option of getting it transcribed in addition to publishing it there and calling it a day. As a result, you now have a text version of the video that you can share on social media and your blog.
You may now have a standalone podcast episode by using the audio from that YouTube video. Include video in your email marketing to boost clickthrough rates by 300%.
Additionally, you could take that video, edit it, and distribute it on a variety of social networking sites, including Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram reels, TikTok, and YouTube shorts.
The truth is that most businesses I observe on a daily basis either don’t upload enough high-quality videos or don’t post them at all if they feel stuck, stalled or they simply aren’t seeing the outcomes they were looking for from their marketing or from their social media.
Let me describe a plan you might adopt to get going and perhaps even start making money. Yes, this one small thing has the potential to be your complete marketing plan condensed into one fantastic, spectacular, and lucrative idea. And to do that, we should first concentrate on short videos.
Vertical Short Videos
My friend, if I had to choose just one type of marketing medium to develop—one that would generally be successful with most audiences, markets, industries, and enterprises worldwide—it would have to be short-form vertical video. Video marketing strategies are now the way
The types of videos you find on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram reels, as well as on YouTube. The length of a short-form piece of content will vary depending on the platform we’re discussing, and they do have a tendency to update their algorithms frequently as they experiment to find the ideal length.
However, in most cases, we’re referring to videos that are 60 seconds or shorter. You should thus consider an Instagram reel, YouTube short, or TikTok as a slightly longer story if you’re already comfortable with stuff like Instagram stories. Or, if you already produce longer-form videos, as you claim to do on YouTube, I want you to consider a short, a reel, or a TikTok as a shorter version of a longer movie.
See? It’s not too hard to market. In any case, the key takeaway is that this is the type of material that is currently proving successful not only with users but also with algorithms, and they are giving it a little bit of an extra push in an effort to establish themselves as the leader in short-form video.
Additionally, producing a short-form vertical video requires a great deal less time and effort than, say, a long-form video for YouTube. You can really record it from your phone, edit it there, publish it, and upload it from your phone all at the same time.
Now, when it comes to the ideal locations to share your short-form vertical content, my advice is to do so everywhere. Now, I’m not advocating that you immediately start devising complete social media campaigns and strategies for each and every one of the various social media networks. That is unneeded, overwhelming, and stressful.
However, if you’re already producing a short-form vertical video, there’s no reason not to post it to all of the other platforms, which will essentially enable you to reach a larger audience with a lot less work.
Having said that, I would have to choose YouTube and YouTube shorts as my first big channel to create content. Now, there are a variety of reasons for this, including some of the difficulties that Facebook and Instagram, and other platforms have faced.
Has to do with some of the algorithmic difficulties TikTok has had as well as the lower leads-to-conversion ratio there than on other platforms. But perhaps most significantly, it’s because YouTube seems to be in the best position to benefit from this short-form vertical video in the near future—possibly even in a few years.
